What is the difference between Soy Wax and Soy Blend Wax?
100% Soy Wax
Soy waxes are made from soybean oil and can contain other non-soy materials. The soybean oil is separated from the beans by use of a mechanical press or by using a solvent to extract the oil.
Eco-friendly: No additives resulting in clean burning with no petroleum base.
Colorless - meaning the wax itself does not contain any color and typically appears opaque.
Safe for the environment: Once the candle has burned to the bottom and there's nothing left to use, you can scrape out the rest of the wax and save the glass! The wax is safe to reuse.
Soy candles burn for 30-50% longer than paraffin or paraffin blends. Don't be fooled by the word blend, that is still a mixture using some paraffin wax and is definitely not suitable for burning.
Soy-Paraffin Blend Wax
Soy-Paraffin is a mixture of soy and paraffin wax.
Paraffin waxes are actually petroleum based and are created using crude oil (also known as fossil fuel) which is extracted from the earth.
Petroleum based paraffin is still prevalent in the mixture.
Colorless - meaning the wax itself does not contain any color and typically appears semi-translucent.
Soy blends offer the fragrance throw of a paraffin candle with the safety of a soy candle.
